Yes! Now it’s possible and easy.
Apple was granted a patent recently, for a system which is fitted to connect to wireless signals, released by routers, in order to charge electronic devices.
AppleInsider reveals that the new system would rest on the frequencies we use to transfer data. Data is actually transferred over air to give our phones a continuous source of power.
Now, as an Iphone user, you can just walk into a room which has a Wi-fi router and you can automatically connect your phone to the power source. No need to charge it through cords or wires, freeing your phone. Now external packs, charging platforms, wires are a thing of the past. Technology is quite cool, isn’t it?
This whole design and technology requires special routers with distinct antennae and circuit system. It can increase the signals with more power in the output, which would be connected by a receiver in the iPhone and converted to more juice in the battery.

How will the system work and future developments:

It seems like a capable way to charge your iPhone wireless-ly. It can also limit the number of gadgets you will require in your house. This also means Apple’s AirPort router isn’t deceased after all.
The upcoming iPhone 8 is believed or rumored to have that setup of close range wireless charging. It will be using the Qi standard which is also used by Samsung and other companies. So if we see for now, our dream to have wireless charging might have to wait a little bit longer to develop properly.
